Garrett A. Prawel
Co-Owner, Senior Audio Engineer, Producer

Garrett is the co-founder of Legacy Studios and holds an extensive musical background. He has an Associate's Degree in Individual Studies at Niagara County Community College, and a certificate in Audio, Recording, and Production. Through these programs he took courses that focused on audio recording, audio production, music production, application of MIDI instruments, theory of sound, critical listening, microphone placement, frequency response, and recording techniques. Garrett also helped set up for Music is Art through his recording program. He became Avid certified in various Pro Tools courses, which is his staple DAW.

Robert J. Prawel
Proprietor, Studio Musician
Robert's dreams and passions have always revolved around music. This led him to build a compact disc collection during his teenage years. Nearly two decades later, he has thousands of discs. This collection helped to support legendary artists while providing reference materials to inspire new ones. After graduating from Niagara County Community College his goal was to acquire a sustainable career. By growing his capital he started his own business. Robert has played the drums for over a decade, learning under Scott Calandra. He also has experience in a recording environment and is an active songwriter. Robert's aspirations were the driving force behind building a recording studio with plans to further the recording accessibility in Western New York.

Timmothy R. Kowal
Audio Engineer, Producer

Timm is the studio coordinator who prides himself as a jack of all trades. Upon graduating high school, he spent time in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, working for TRS Consulting. He interned under seasoned professionals who gave him expertise in both live sound setup and audio production. Upon returning to Buffalo, he expanded his skill set by learning the Protools DAW, Social Media management, and knowledge of Microsoft applications. The revolutionary ideas he brings to a session expand upon the artist's vision and inspire a unique atmosphere. Timm takes tremendous honor in achieving by striving to hold customer relations to the highest standard through commitment.

Christopher J. Dorner
Freelance Artist, Art Instructor
Chris started his artistic journey at Erie Community College, where he earned his Associate's degree in Fine Arts. Chris is pursuing his Bachelor's degree at Fredonia State University, enrolled in the Drawing and Painting Program. After completion of his education, Chris aims to become a teacher of the fine arts.

Traditional and western contemporary artists heavily inspire Chris. A passion for portrait artwork has led to use in techniques revolved around charcoal and graphite, showcasing his finesse in hatching, rubbing, blending, and lifting. These techniques help him to achieve precise line-work and impressive shading. He is familiar with multiple mediums, Oil painting, and watercolor.

Ed Jagiello
Songwriter, Vocal Instructor

Eddy James (Ed) is a musician with over 20 years experience specializing in vocal performance, songwriting, and audio production.
Through lessons and production, he hopes to use his knowledge to help other musicians find their own voice, hone their songwriting and bring their musical ideas to life.
As a songwriter Ed has created music in genres such as rock, pop, alternative, folk, metal, blues, country, christian, and electronica.
Through performing in local bands Ed has had the opportunity to open for national acts like Lou Gramm of Foreigner, Dennis DeYoung of Styx and the Gin Blossoms.
Musical influences: Johnny Cash, Public Image Ltd, Nirvana, The Doors, Ozzy/Black Sabbath and Alice Cooper
Nick Ellis
Guitar Instructor, Session Musician

Nick Ellis has over 20 years of experience in music performance and production. His primary focus has been electric guitar, but he has also done live performances on bass, piano, keyboard, vocals, harmonica and percussion.
With experience playing in praise bands, designing sound systems and running live sound he has found his calling through music. Nick's previous projects include progressive funk band Abstract Logic and filling in on vocals and lead guitar in cover bands such as Take Cover and the 14215 Projekt. His current bands are Graceful Mourning and ZenDogz.
Nick has a home studio Dragon Den Studios, which is directly affiliated with Legacy Studios. This houses his extensive collection of guitars that are cycled in for session work as needed. He uses this space to provide guitar lessons and share his passion for creating music.
